Gert Schlossmacher

CEO

As CEO, Gert Schlossmacher has led HBC’s business since December 2022, and also serves as Chairman of the Board. Previously, he was, among other roles, CEO Germany at Howden Insurance Brokers, Managing Director at RKH Reinsurance Brokers, and Group Head of Global Sales at Euler Hermes, as well as Managing Partner of the Sieveking Group. With more than 20 years of international experience in sales, strategy and leadership, he brings extensive industry expertise to HBC’s continued development.

Jens Köpke

CSDO

Responsible for the Operations division within the HBC Group. He has deep expertise in strategy, operations, transformation and M&A, with a focus on the insurance and broking environment.

Johannes Schmidt portrait

Johannes Schmidt

CBO

As Chief Broking Officer, Johannes leads HBC’s operational matters and broking business, with a focus on supporting and integrating the individual offices and regions. Before joining, he spent more than eleven years at a leading international management consultancy, most recently as a Director focusing on strategy and restructuring projects in the financial services sector.

CMO

As Chief Market Officer, Jan is responsible for strategic insurer relationships, risk placement, and product management and development at HBC. Previously, he served as Managing Director of established insurance brokerage firms. His industry experience is further complemented by many years in leadership roles at a managing general agent (MGA) and at an international industrial insurer.

Dr. Frank Broer

CFO

As Interim Chief Financial Officer, Frank leads HBC’s finance organisation, oversees Investor Relations, and is also responsible for IT and Legal. Holding a doctorate in law and economics, he brings leadership experience from venture capital- and private equity-backed companies, top management consulting, and CFO roles in high-growth digital and healthcare businesses. For many years, he provided legal and tax advice to financial services companies.

Joshua Rasfeld

Head of Transformation

As Head of Transformation at HBC, Joshua leads post-merger integration and the organisational development of the brokerage companies. Previously, he was responsible for bid management in the key account division at a leading industrial insurance broker. He brings several years of management consulting experience from leading international consultancies.

Anja Kiehne Portrait

Anja Kiehne

Head of HR

As Head of HR, Anja oversees HBC’s strategic and operational HR work. Before joining in 2024, she worked, among other roles, as Head of Human Resources in the media and publishing industry. Her HR expertise spans many years in international retail and apparel companies, as well as several years working as an independent consultant for HR and leadership development.

Head of IT

As Head of IT, Hanno is responsible for the technical infrastructure as well as carrying out migrations and consolidating system landscapes at HBC. Previously, he worked for many years as an IT Manager in the insurance broking sector and has extensive industry IT expertise.

Jan Ingwersen

Head of Controlling

As Head of Group Controlling & Treasury, Jan is responsible for management and reporting for the Group companies and oversees Treasury at HBC. Previously, he worked as a Controlling Manager at an international media and agency group. His expertise is also based on several years of experience as a Senior Auditor at a leading audit firm, specialising in statutory audits of annual financial statements.

Head of Accounting

As Head of Accounting, Robin is responsible for Group accounting, all financial statements and all tax matters at HBC. He brings more than ten years of experience from a leading audit and advisory firm, where he most recently worked as a Manager in Financial Services, supporting audit and accounting projects for financial services providers.

Michael Smolinski

Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

As Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, Michael leads financial planning and analytical reporting for internal and external stakeholders at HBC. Previously, he spent more than nine years at a leading audit and advisory firm, most recently as a Senior Manager in Deals, focusing on M&A transactions in the financial services sector.
