Hamburger Yacht Insurance is among the top three providers in this segment and has in-depth expertise as well as a long-established customer network in Europe.
With this addition, HBC is strengthening its position in the private client segment. “The acquisition of the Hamburg specialist broker for yacht insurance is an important building block in our growth strategy. By pooling expertise within the HBC Group, we are creating the basis for sustainable success in this specialised private client market segment,” emphasises Hauke Martinsen, CEO of the HBC Group.
Strategic direction and expansion of the business unit
Hamburger Yacht Insurance will be established as the HBC Group’s centre of excellence for coverage concepts related to water sports. The aim is to significantly expand the existing business and tap into new markets. The focus is particularly on covering risks for yachts and boats, a segment with growth potential.
