Strategic partnership strengthens regional presence and expertise in the Düsseldorf area in the fields of automotive/motor vehicle, transport, and specialized concepts for SMEs.
HBC (Hanseatic Broking Center) GmbH continues its growth trajectory and gains HORBACH GmbH, a specialized company with 15 employees at its Düsseldorf and Gladbeck locations. HORBACH has been successfully positioned in the market for many years and possesses proven expertise in serving medium-sized companies and private clients. Core competencies include insurance solutions for car dealerships, motor vehicle businesses, recreational vehicles, as well as transport and logistics companies. The portfolio is complemented by comprehensive specialized concepts for private clients. With HORBACH’s integration, HBC specifically strengthens its market position in these segments and further expands its regional presence in Western Germany. At the same time, HORBACH clients will benefit from expanded capacities, broader product access, and the technological infrastructure of the HBC Group.
Johannes Schmidt, CCO of HBC, says: “With HORBACH, we gain an excellently positioned brokerage firm with clear specialization and strong customer loyalty. Especially in automotive-related sectors and among SMEs, HORBACH complements our portfolio very well, both in terms of content and regionally. Together, we want to further expand existing strengths and generate additional growth impulses.”
For Andreas Rump, Managing Director of HORBACH GmbH Versicherungsvermittlung und Finanzdienstleistungen, the Düsseldorf location, which has existed for over 70 years, is a matter of particular importance.
Ich freue mich, dass wir durch den Beitritt zur HBC-Gruppe den Standort erhalten und zukünftig ausbauen können, um unsere Nähe zu unseren Kunden zu bewahren.

Michael Dutine, Managing Director of HORBACH GmbH Versicherungsvermittlung und Finanzdienstleistungen, adds: “HBC offers us the right platform to further strengthen our specializations and simultaneously benefit from group-wide synergies.” “We see our decision for HBC as the next logical step, particularly in accessing expanded markets, insurers, and digital infrastructural solutions,” adds Tobias von Ohlen, Managing Director of the HORBACH Group and Managing Director of the insurance subsidiary “anag versicherungspartner” of Automobile Nord AG. Additionally, von Ohlen sees good opportunities to attract further risk carriers for the insurance of car dealership businesses.
As part of the transaction, HORBACH’s existing management team remains unchanged. The locations in Düsseldorf and Gladbeck will be retained. The goal is to combine and expand HORBACH’s operational strength with the structural and technological capabilities of the HBC Group.
